03 · What happens to every order

The same five steps, for every list.

No phone held to an ear while someone reads out a list.

  1. 1. The list arrives

On WhatsApp or by phone: typed, or as a voice note.

  2. 2. Items are confirmed

Quantities, brands and pack sizes, with a substitute agreed where needed.

  3. 3. Paid before picking

A payment link to your own account. Unpaid lists never reach your staff.

  4. 4. Your staff pick it

A clean order with every item and the agreed substitutes.

  5. 5. Delivery or pickup

Sent out for delivery, or kept ready at the counter with the shopper told when to come.

07 · Questions owners ask

Answers to the things store owners want to know.

These come up in almost every meeting with a supermarket.

  • Do shoppers have to install anything?

No. They message the number they already have, on WhatsApp, or they call.

  • How does it know our prices and stock?

From your billing system or item list, connected or shared during setup. We’ll check yours on the call.

  • Where does the shopper’s money go?

To your own payment account, through a payment link from your setup. Vaanik doesn’t hold your money.

  • What happens when an item is out of stock?

It offers the substitute you allow and asks the shopper first. Nothing is replaced without a yes.

  • Can it take cash-on-delivery orders?

Yes, where you allow it. The page shows pay-first because that is what most stores ask for.

  • We have several stores. How does that work?

Each store keeps its own items, prices, delivery area and timings. An order goes to the store that serves the shopper’s area.

  • What if a shopper wants to talk to a person?

Your team is alerted with the conversation so far and can take over at any time. Nothing has to be asked twice.

  • Which languages does it speak?

Hindi and English today, including the mix of both that people actually speak. Tell us which other languages your shoppers use and we’ll confirm on the call.

  • Do we need a WhatsApp Business account?

Yes, for the WhatsApp replies. Don’t have one? We set it up with you during onboarding.

  • What does it cost, and how fast can we go live?

Setup and go-live are included. We share pricing on the call and go live once your item list, rules and payments are tested with you.
